When he addressed organizers, participants and presenters at last week’s Disaster Management Training Workshop, Minister of National Emergency Management Hon Edmond Castro reminded them that under his watch he wants NEMO to be the best managed organization of its kind in the region and hemisphere:
“Training like this is vital, very important and I’d like to thank each and every one of you here today representing the different stakeholders…to come and learn and see how we can manage this organization and make it the ideal NEMO organization that we could possibly experience in our lifetime. And we would like to set an example for those to come after us, that they will be able to continue in the good spirit of unity across all cross sections and organizations that we have here today,” the Minister remarked.
The Training Workshop was conducted at Dream Valley Resort in Teakettle, Cayo District through partnership between NEMO and the United Nations Emergency Task Team (UNETT). It ran for three days, from July 24 – 26.
