As part of our stepped-up public awareness and education campaign, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) this past weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13, 2018, operated an information booth on the grounds of the Annual Cashew Fest in Crooked Tree Village, Belize District. Many attendees visited the NEMO information booth, in addition to which hundreds of pamphlets and flyers were distributed throughout the show grounds. The information shared focused on emergency/disaster management and highlighted the work of NEMO before, during and after a disaster. Distributed as gifts were various forms of NEMO paraphernalia focusing also on disaster management. The initiative targeted mainly residents from Crooked Tree Village and surrounding communities in Rural Belize District.
