NEMO equipment is currently assisting in efforts to restore water supply to the village of Mahogany Heights in the Belize District.
The works began this morning as a backhoe from NEMO is assisting the Village Council and Water Board as they carry out urgent repairs to the water lines which have been experiencing substantial leaks resulting in inadequate water supply for over 250 households. The situation became critical about a week ago as the leaks got worse, leaving the village virtually without water.
In this context, the Ministry of National Emergency Management and NEMO are happy to be a part of the collaborative effort, in conjunction with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, and Area Representative Hon Beverly Williams, to restore normalcy to the lives of the villagers of Mahogany Heights.
