Stann Creek Shelter Inspection

From January 24 to 31, 2023, the NEMO Stann Creek Shelter Inspection Team carried out their annual inspection of disaster shelters within the Stann Creek district. The purpose of these inspections is to ensure that the shelters are ready and equipped to provide safe and adequate accommodation for those affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes. Upon completion of the inspections, a comprehensive report is prepared and submitted to both the Stann Creek District Emergency Committee for ratification and to NEMO headquarters for consideration. This report serves as the basis for requesting necessary resources to make any repairs required to maintain the functional readiness of the shelters.
