
The participants were trained by experienced personnel from Empact International. Empact International is a non-governmental Urban Search and Rescue and disaster response group stationed in the US. They have been working with the National Fire Service and other organizations in Belize for a number of years now. Some topics that were covered during the training are: Delegation of Authority and Management by Objectives, ICS Functional Areas and Command Staff Roles, Initial Actions for Incident Command and Demobilization, Transfer and Command Closeout and Transition to Recovery.
